Dead Reporters

You have to love the media. They are so objective in their coverage. They only report the facts. Here is one of those facts: The only time the war is important enough to warrant front page coverage is when a journalist gets injured or killed. Dead Iraqi’s only count in large numbers. Dead soldiers aren’t really important either. But when a member of the media gets hurt? Well stop the presses!! It’s “big news.”

Frankly, I’m disgusted by this. The war should be on the front-page everyday, complete with pictures of blood soaked sand and severed heads/limbs lying around. That is what this war means to the Iraqi’s. They won’t forget and be nicey-nicey whenever they get their government going. At best, we can hope for ambivalence.

This phenomenon of reporters being the most important dead people in Iraq just shows how out of touch they are. They are pretentious and self-important. No wonder the American public is so mis-informed. Do they seriously think they matter? Anyone that deluded should not be given the responsibility of reporting the facts, because they are obviously out of touch with them.
